GANDHINAGAR: The newly constructed “Garvi
Gujarat Bhavan”, located at Akbar Road in the heart of New Delhi, will be dedicated to the public by Prime Minister Narendra Modi
on September 2.
Chief minister Vijay Rupani and cabinet ministers will attend the event in Delhi.
The state government has also organised a “Brand Gujarat” event at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi to mark the occasion.
Deputy CM Nitin Patel said, “The development work of the new Garvi
Gujarat Bhavan at Delhi is complete.
The PM has consented to dedicate the project, which has cost Rs 131 crore.”
Construction of the new Gujarat Bhavan was started in September 2017.
The ministry of urban development provided 7,066 square metres of land for the project.
After the new Garvi Gujarat Bhjavan becomes operational, the current Gujarat Bhavan will also continue to function. The old Gujarat Bhavan will cater to additional needs of the people of the state.
