Woman dies after taking ‘medicine’

Ahmedabad: A 25-year-old woman died on Tuesday allegedly after she consumed some liquid from a bottle of with label of ayurvedic medicine. She had consumed the liquid as she was suffering from uneasiness due to gastric problems on Saturday.
The woman, Puja Krushnakumar Jain, a resident of Sarkhej, was feeling uneasiness on Saturday night and started searching for some remedy.She found the ayurvedic medicine bottle in which some of her family members had filled pesticide or phenyl.
She started vomiting after drinking the ‘medicine’. She was rushed to Sola Civil hospital where it was revealed that she had consumed poison, said a police official.
After treatment for four days, she died on Tuesday afternoon. Sarkhej police has lodged a case of accidental death and are investigating the case.
