VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Congress is gearing up for a statewide protest on May 26 against what they called Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s "misrule". APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy released the publicity material at Indira Bhavan in Hyderabad on Tuesday for the event depicting the Prime Minister as "demon Ravana" with 10 heads indicating that Modi is a "destroyer".
Speaking on the occasion, Raghuveera Reddy said that the Congress would expose the failures of Narendra Modi government in the last four years.
“The Congress would expose Narendra Modi how he had promised special category status and other bifurcation benefits to the state and how he had gone back on the promise. We would also expose how Modi had failed to implement the BJP’s election manifesto,” Raghuveera asserted.
He said that Modi had promised to bring back the black money from the foreign banks in 100 days of becoming the Prime Minister. “He had also promised to end corruption but the corruption reported in the BJP-ruled states is never seen in the history. He had also allowed Nirav Modi, Lalith Modi and Vijay Mallya to leave the country,” the APCC chief said.
The APCC chief took a dig at the Prime Minister on the demonetisation and said that the initiative had destroyed the country’s economy. “Demonetisation is a massive scam. The Prime Minister had destroyed the RBI and the banking sectors. He had allowed his friends and corporate companies to loot the banks,” Raghuveera Reddy alleged.
He also found fault with the GST and termed it as Gabbar Singh Tax benefiting a select few sections and victimising majority people of the country. He appealed to the people to make the statewide protest a success and pledge to defeat Narendra Modi and BJP in the next elections.
Congress senior leaders Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy, Gidugu Rudra Raju, Janga Gowtham, Ganga Bhavani, G V Reddy, Panabaka Krishnaiah and Chandrasekhar Yadav were also present.
