Karnataka: 9 die in vehicle collision, 6 injured
At least nine persons died and six others injured as two vehicles collided early morning on Friday at NH 218, Chikka sindagi of Sindagi taluk of Vijayapur district in Karnataka.
VIJAYAPUR: At least nine persons died and six others were injured as two vehicles collided early morning on Friday at NH 218 near Chikka Sindagi of Sindagi taluk of Vijayapur district in Karnataka.
The deceased - Sagar 25, Chand Basha 24, Ajeem 26, Ambarish 28, Shakeer 25, Guru 32, Srinath 30, Younis 27, and Mangsoob 27 - who were returning from Goa belong to Chittapur of Kalaburgi.
Two of those injured were admitted to Vijayapur district hospital.
Vehicles were stranded on national highway due to traffic jam after the accident even as bodies lay on the road.
