BENGALURU: Barely 24 hours after former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy accused chief minister BS Yediyurappa's family of running a transfer racket, Yediyurappa's son BY Vijayendra hit back, daring the JD(S) leader to prove the allegations.
Calling him a hit-and-run politician, Vijayendra accused Kumaraswamy of making baseless allegations against Yediyurappa and his family for political gains.

"Unlike Kumaraswamy, who had his entire family involved in the administration, Yediyurappa's family is in no way involved in running the government," Vijayendra said. He also posted newspaper articles on his Twitter account to show how Kumaraswamy's brother and former PWD minister HD Revanna brazenly transferred officials at will during the previous regime.
"I have never interfered in the administration of the government either previously or now," he said. "As the general secretary for the BJP yuva morcha, I am only involved in party activities and membership drives for the BJP."
Kumaraswamy during a tour of Udupi district on Sunday, had said: "The BJP kept crying foul over my family and coalition government being involved in transfer business. Today, the transfer business is being completely controlled by CM Yediyurappa's son, Vijayendra, who takes care of the bidding process for transfers."
