3 dead after sand mine collapses in Shivpuri

Three people died after a sand mine in Shivpuri district caved. Incident was reported from near Parvati river where villagers were digging sand illegally. All three deceased are residents of the same village. Residents tried to rescue them but their efforts went in vain. Three others were injured as well. They have been shifted to government hospital for further treatment.

BHOPAL: Three people died after a sand mine in Shivpuri district caved. Incident was reported from near Parvati river where villagers were digging sand illegally. All three deceased are residents of the same village. Residents tried to rescue them but their efforts went in vain. Three others were injured as well. They have been shifted to government hospital for further treatment.
Earlier, five labourers were killed when an illegal sand mine on the banks of Narmada river in Barwani district’s Chhota Barda village caved in on Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place when labourers were shifting the sand dug out from the mine to a tractor trolley. Other labourers present near the tractor trolley and its driver had a narrow escape.
