BHOPAL: A 29-year-old businessman was allegedly abducted and robbed of Rs 1.3 lakh cash by three men, who worked at his shop, in the wee hours of Wednesday in Hanumanganj.
However, the victim,
Salman Khan, somehow managed to escape and approached the police.
Investigating Officer SI Praveen Thakre said that Khan runs a car accessories shop on Hamidia Road. He alleged that around 12.30am, he closed his shop.
The accused, Salman, Sameer and Yaman, who work at his shop, misled him telling that a short-circuit had occurred inside the shop. When Khan when he went inside, the trio allegedly grabbed him from behind. When he resisted, they stifled him with a sedative-laced cloth.
"They took him inside a four-wheeler. Around 3pm, when he came into his senses, he found that he was in the back seat of a car and two men were driving it towards Bhanpur area," said SI Thakre, adding that the Khan somehow managed to jump off the moving car near Chhola.
