Amid complaints that passengers are not getting food on Shramik Special trains across the country, Bhopal railway division officials on Friday provided milk to a child after a passenger tweeted about it.

BHOPAL: Amid complaints that passengers are not getting food on Shramik Special trains across the country, Bhopal railway division officials on Friday provided milk to a child after a passenger tweeted about it.
DRM Uday Borwanker said that on Friday morning at 10.46 am he received a tweet, in which a passenger named Ravindra Dubey stated that he was traveling in Shramik Special and was in need of milk for his child.

The control room traced the number and location of his train. The train 09677 was running from Vasai, Mumbai to Jaunpur. Ravindra tweeted that the his train has crossed Bhopal station. His coach is third from the engine and seat number was 48.
"After receiving the tweet, we asked officials to arrange milk and some food items for the passenger in the train at Bina railway station," said DRM Borwanker. Bina divisional commercial inspector (DCI) Sunil Pandey said that when the train reached Bina station at 2.23 pm, he provided half a litre of hot milk to the concerned passenger. Apart from this, we also provided bananas, food packets, bread and water bottles for his family, he said. This train left from Bina at 2.37 pm. Food packets and water bottles were also provided to all other passengers in the train.
