BHOPAL: A sex racket was busted during a raid at a duplex in post Chhatrasal Phase-2 Colony on Tuesday.
Five women, including the kingpin of the racket, and two men were arrested, said police. One of the accused fled the scene, search is on to nab him, said police. The accused were produced before the court from where they were sent to jail after medical examinations.

The kingpin is in police remand to ascertain her involvement in the honeytrap racket busted earlier. The woman told police, she had been running the racket for six month. She approached customers through social media.
"The racket has links nationally and internationally. Sex workers were provided to various parts of the country and even abroad. The accused even provided car service to pick and drop the clients," said a cop.
Police have seized the mobile phones of main accused and other women and found records of conversations with clients during lockdown period. Initial investigations reveal that the accused also have links with honeytrap rackets busted earlier.
CSP (Govindpura) Ankit Jaiswal said that police have been receiving tip-off for the past few days about suspicious activities observed at a duplex - in Chhatrasal Nagar Phase-2. Police activated informer network and found that various people from old City areas visit the spot in different vehicles. When it was confirmed that a sex racket was being operated at the duplex, police on Tuesday afternoon sent a police constable in civil dress wearing protective gear. He posed as customer and when the deal was finalised, he informed the police team, which raided the spot.
CSP Jaiswal said that police will check with the house owner whether he had conducted tenant verification process before letting his house out. If not, appropriate action will be taken against him. He added that suspected links of the gang with honeytrap rackets nabbed earlier in the city are being investigated.
