BHOPAL: Uday Borwanker replaced
Shobhan Chaudhary as
divisional railway manager (DRM) of Bhopal on Thursday. Earlier, Borwanker served as an executive director (mechanical engineering) in the railway board in New Delhi.
Borwanker is a 1988 batch officer of the Indian Railway Service of mechanical engineers. He was selected as special class railway apprentice for the
Indian Railways by the UPSC in 1985-86. He graduated from the prestigious Indian Railway Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Jamalpur.
Later, he also studied business management in Mumbai.
Borwanker has held various challenging positions in central and western railways, and also at Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) and Railway Board. He has a wide experience in train operations, asset maintenance, quality assurance,
project management, energy management, HR and anti-corruption (vigilance).
