Calls for appointing Scindia Congress chief

BHOPAL: Some 24 MLAs from the state are agitating near New Delhi residence of senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia demanding his appointment as state Congress president.
The protest is taking place at Scindia's official residence at 27, Safdarjung Road where MLAs, including Imarti devi, Pradyumn Singh Tomar, Munnalal Goal, Banwarilal Sharma, Baijnath Kushwah, Lakhan Singh Yadav, Govind Rajput landed themselves since Saturday morning.
Speaking to reporters, the MLA from Ambah assembly seat Kamlesh Jatav said, "We accepted Kamal Nath ji as the next chief minister because it was AICC president Rahul Gandhi's decision. We adhered to our leader Jyotiraditya Scindia's direction that Kamal Nath will be CM. Now that the CM is decided, we want that Jyotiraditya Scindia be appointed PCC chief. If need be, we will go to Congress president Rahul Gandhi with our demand tomorrow."
