Indore bizman robbed of Rs 7 lakh near Bhopal Talkies

BHOPAL: City police stations continue to receive loot cases despite their recent crackdown on robbers.
Two unidentified bike-borne accused allegedly snatched a bag containing Rs 7.33 lakh cash from an Indore-based businessman near Bhopal Talkies while he was on his way to Halalpur Bus stand at around 11pm on Monday. The victim along with his partner chased the accused for more than 10 minutes till Military Gate but the accused managed to escape.

Shahjehanabad police, acting on the complaint, registered a case on charges of loot. Based on a CCTV clip, the police has launched a search to nab them.
CSP Shahjehanabad Nagendra Pateria said that victim Kailash Chandra Shrivastava, 61, a resident of Aerodrome Road Indore, supplies wholesale grocery products to Bhopal-based traders. He told police that on Monday, as usual he reached Bhopal to collect payment.
Shrivastava told TOI that he collected payment of Rs 7.33 lakh from around 20-25 traders in Hanumanganj area. He kept the amount in a bag and was going to Halalpur bus stand with Shankar Rajani, a grocery trader in Bhopal, on his scooter.
He said when they reached in near Bhopal Talkies Square, two unidentified bike-borne accused zip past them and snatched the bag carrying cash.
Armed men stabs 16-yr-old, snatches bag: Another shocking loot case was reported at MP Nagar police station on Monday night. Three armed masked men allegedly stabbed a doctor’s 16-year-old employee on the nose outside his MRI scan centre in Shivaji Nagar and snatched a bag carrying Rs 2 lakh cash. The victim was going to keep the bag in the trunk of the doctor’s car when the accused committed the crime.
While the accused were trying to flee from the spot on their bike, the doctor’s car driver and an ambulance driver chased and nabbed one of the accused. He was handed over to MP Nagar police. MP Nagar police registered an armed loot case and nabbed one more accused on Tuesday. The third accomplice is still on the run. Police said that the accused were addicted to gambling and lost Rs 1.5 lakh recently. They were in search for a potential target.
