Madhya Pradesh: Covid-19 patient may not be able to write her remaining board exams

Fighting the deadly virus of Covid-19, a Class 12 student from Sheopur is preparing for her board exams rescheduled for next week without realizing that she may not be allowed to appear.

BHOPAL: Fighting the deadly virus of Covid-19, a Class 12 student from Sheopur is preparing for her board exams rescheduled for next week without realizing that she may not be allowed to appear.
Admitted at a Covid care centre of the district hospital of Sheopur, the girl is preparing to write her Mathematics exam on May 9 and Chemistry on May 15. to write for two exams on May 9 ( Mathematics ) and May 15 ( Chemistry).

“Let me appear in the exams either at the Covid care centre or in some other room of the hospital”, she urged the government.
“Without any negative thought, I am preparing for exams. I have brought my study material with me,” she told TOI over phone from the Covid care centre.
Secretary of MP Board of secondary education Anil Suchari said, “ she will not be allowed to appear in the exam.”
When asked what is the government's policy for Covid-19 positive students, he said, “we will examine the case of corona positive student and those who are in quarantine.”
Admitted at the Covid care centre of the district hospital in Sheopur since May 29, the girl is recovering along with five more family members- her two sisters, mother and uncle. One of the family members passed away five days ago.

This student had already appeared in Hindi, English and Physics exams on March 4, 6 and 13 respectively.
"I am perfectly all right and there are no symptoms whatsoever. Bhaiya ( brother) has promised me that he would ensure that I write the exams,” she said.
In fact, none from our family has any symptom of coronavirus. I am sure our reports are negative.”
She also complains of “lack of facilities like water, food and fans or coolers at the Covid care centre" .
