BHOPAL: A man accused of molesting 4-year-old executed murderous assault on the kin of survivor after coming out on bail, in Raisen district.
Two members of the survivor’s family are in hospital, while accused was arrested and sent to jail by police.
The incident took place at a village under Begumganj tehsil of the district on Tuesday.
The accused identified as Bablu Ahirwar, 26, was sentenced with three years imprisonment by a local court for molesting a 4-year-old girl last year.
Later he appealed before high court and was granted bail recently.
“He was out on bail a few months ago. And had kept grudge on the family of the survivor. On Tuesday morning he went to the house of the survivor and attacked two of her family members who are uncle and aunty of the survivor with sticks. He thrashed them till they became unconscious and escaped from the spot,” Begumganj police station in-charge, Virendra Singh told TOI.
He added, “Later locals informed us, and a hunt was launched to arrest the accused. He was arrested in the evening and booked under section 307 (attempt to murder) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal code and was produced before court which sent him to jail”.

“The family members of the survivor are admitted at a local hospital and doctors are saying that they are stable and recuperating. Both have sustained injuries in various parts of body including their head,” Singh said.
“Primary investigations have revealed that it was due to the grudge against the complaint made by survivor’s family against the accused following her molestation, that the accused attacked them. Detailed investigations are going on,” he said.
