Over 200 Congress workers of Sanchi and Raisen city and rural area joined BJP at party headquarters in Bhopal on Sunday.

BHOPAL: Over 200 Congress workers of Sanchi and Raisen city and rural area joined BJP at party headquarters in Bhopal on Sunday.
Chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP state president, Vishnu Dutta Sharma were present on the occasion.
Most of them were supporters of Prabhuram Choudhary, who as school education minister in Kamal Nath led Congress government, represented Sanchi assembly constituency and had resigned in solidarity with senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia along with 21 other ministers and MLAs.

Sanchi is one of the 24 assembly seats in the state where bypolls will be held. Those who joined BJP from Sanchi and Raisen were former district presidents, block heads, youth Congress leaders and others.Apart from Chouhan, Sharma and Choudhary former BJP minister, Rampal Singh, who hails from the area, was also present.
Chouhan said Choudhary surrendered his ministerial chair to save people of MP. He said for the development of Sanchi it is important that BJP wins the seat and asked the newly-joined party workers to start working in that direction.
