Soon, IndiGo’s flights to connect Bhopal & Jabalpur to Hyderabad
BHOPAL: In a certain good news for the fliers in Bhopal and Jabalpur, low-cost airline Indigo announced on Wednesday that it will start flights from the two cities to Hyderabad from January 5 next year.
Currently, fliers from Bhopal have access to direct flights only to Mumbai and Delhi. Indigo’s announcement, with all-inclusive fares starting from Rs 1,999, adds another destination— Hyderabad.
In MP, Bhopal and Jabalpur will be the second and third cities IndiGo will be flying to, after Indore.
“We are pleased to announce Bhopal and Jabalpur as our 65th and 66th destinations effective January 2019. We will operate daily non-stop flights from Bhopal and Jabalpur to connect these cities with Hyderabad.
We will also be introducing a 4th daily return flight between Hyderabad and Tirupati,” said William Boulter, chief commercial officer of IndiGo.
“IndiGo will continue to expand its network to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travellers wherever they demand it. It is our constant endeavour to provide more flexibility of choice to our customers,” Boulter added.
“This is a positive news for our campaign,” said Prachi Baluapuri, who runs a WhatsApp group of flyers.
Meanwhile, Director Raja Bhoj Airport Anil Vikram tweeted: “Spice Jet is likely to be the next airline to start operations from Bhopal.”
