Temperature rises again as clouds, rain elude Bhopal

BHOPAL: In absence of pre-monsoon showers, day temperature in Bhopal rose to five degrees on Wednesday in comparison to a day earlier. Dry and humid weather prevailed in other parts of the state too.
Officials of meteorological department, Bhopal circle said the system over north MP that was giving showers has less marked. There is possibility of only light rain due to moisture incursion in parts of the state.
Day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 36.9 degrees, a degree more than normal mark, while night temperature in city was recorded at 23.4 degrees, two degrees less than normal mark.
Wind direction in the city was north easterly and average wind speed was 20 km per hour.
There were no showers anywhere in the state in the day. Highest maximum temperature in state was recorded at 40 degrees in Hoshangabad and Khargone.
A day earlier, the maximum and minimum temperature in Bhopal were respectively recorded at 31.6 degrees and 24.4 degrees.
In the forecast for Bhopal on Friday met officials said, there would be partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development. Day and night temperature would be respectively at 36 degrees and 25 degrees Celsius and average wind speed will be 24 kmph.
In the forecast for state met department underlined possibility of light rain and thundery development at places including Umaria, Anuppur, Shahdol, Dindori, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Panna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Indore, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone,Alirajpur, Jhabua, Barwani, Burhanpur, Ujjain, Neemuch, Ratlam, Shajapur, Dewas, Agar, Hoshangabad, Betul, Harda, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Katni, Raisen, Vidisha, Sehore, Ashok Nagar, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind and Shivpuri.
