Three held after man shot at, stabbed in Bhopal
BHOPAL: A listed goon of Habibganj area allegedly called his friend near his house in Shivaji Nagar on the pretext of inviting him to his birthday party and allegedly fired at him with his pistol, on Wednesday night.
The bullet missed the victim but the accused’s accomplices attacked him with knives and stabbed him in the back of the head. He sustained injuries and was rushed to JP Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

Habibganj police registered a case on charges of attempt to murder against four accused and arrested three of them.
Investigation officer SI RP Agnihotri said that victim Ishaan Upadhyay, 28, a resident of Tulsi Nagar, is a mobile phone distributor. He told police that his friend and accused Shubhanshu alias Sunny Shastri, 27, a resident of Shivaji Nagar, called him around 7 pm on Wednesday and invited him to his birthday party. Around 11 pm, Ishaan, along with his two friends, Durgesh and Ajeet reached Shivaji Nagar and found Sunny sitting along with his friends near his house.
Agnihotri said that when Sunny met Ishaan he cautioned him that he wanted to kill him. Ishaan thought that he was joking before Sunny’s friend Golu alias Vishal Jain, 29, a resident of Shahpura, slapped him. When Ishaan’s friends intervened, accused Sachin, a relative of accused Sunny, allegedly stabbed Ishaan. When the dispute turned violent, Sunny fired at Ishaan from his pistol and fled the spot as a crowd had also started to gather. Durgesh and Ajeet rushed Ishaan to JP Hospital for treatment. Habibganj police reached the spot upon getting information from the hospital around 2.30 am and registered a case on charges of attempt to murder against Sunny and his three accomplices. Agnihotri said that three accused - Sunny, Golu and Roshan have been arrested and were being interrogated. Sachin was on the run and will be arrested soon.
