Traffic diversion today: Plan routes before you step out in Bhopal

The city traffic police have made elaborate arrangement for Congress president Rahul Gandhi's visit to the state capital on Monday. According to the traffic plan, Rahul will arrive at the state hangar after which he will leave for BHEL ground to address a rally of party workers.

BHOPAL: The city traffic police have made elaborate arrangement for Congress president Rahul Gandhi's visit to the state capital on Monday. According to the traffic plan, Rahul will arrive at the state hangar after which he will leave for BHEL ground to address a rally of party workers.
The rally will pass through state hangar, Singar Choli railway crossing, Lalghati, VIP Road guest house, old secretariat, GAD crossing, State Bank square, Royal Market, GPO, Raju Tea Stall, Moti Masjid crossing, Retghat, Kamla Park, Char bungalow, Naya MLB college, Polytechnic square, Banganga, Roshanpura Square, New Market, Nanke petrol pump, Link road 1, Board Office, Chetak Bridge, Anna Nagar and end at BHEL ground.

After the event, Rahul will return to state hangar after passing through Anna Nagar, Govindpura turning, Chetak Bridge, Board Office, DB Mall, Vallabh Bhawan, Jail headquarters, control room trisection, Gandhi park, Polytechnic square, VIP road and Lalghati.
The police have put in place traffic diversions, which will be in effective from 11 am till 6 in the evening. Passenger buses which come to the city from Indore through Bairagarh will be diverted from Khajuri and will pass through Lambakheda, Chopda Kalan, Bhanpur, Best Price and will then enter the city.
Vehicles coming from Rajgarh and Guna will also take the Khajuri bypass route. Vehicles going towards Rajgarh and Guna from Halalpura bus stand will not be allowed to go through Lalghati, instead they will have to use the Khajuri bypass. Buses from Nadra bus stand to Indore will not pass through Lalghati, instead they will have to take route Aggarwal Dharamshala, Ganesh Mandir, JP Nagar and Best Price square route.
Vehicles from Lalghati to Royal Market and Moti Masji will be diverted through VIP road. However, when rally will reach Retghat, the traffic will be allowed to use route Royal Market and Hamidia road. Traffic movement from Hoshangabad towards Govindpura will be terminated at ISBT.
