BHOPAL: With no pre-monsoon showers in last few days, temperature has again started climbing up. Rising temperature and high humidity is making life miserable for people, but the respite is not too far as monsoon clouds are likely to cover the state soon.
Officials of meteorological department, Bhopal circle, said there is no strong system over the state, but convective activity will continue due to localized development.
Monsoon has covered Andhra Pradesh and parts of south Chhattisgarh and conditions are favorable for further progress. Monsoon would enter from eastern parts of MP by early next week, Met officials added.
The day temperature in Bhopal on Friday was recorded at 38.5, three degrees more than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was recorded at 26.9 degrees, two degrees more than the normal. The wind direction was easterly with average speed of 20 kilometers per hour.
The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Hoshangabad at 42.1 degrees. Places that recorded showers between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, included Ratlam (16 mm) and Ujjain (2 mm).
A day earlier, maximum and minimum temperature in Bhopal were recorded at 36.9 degrees, a degree more than normal mark and 23.4 degrees, two degrees less than the normal mark.
In the forecast for Bhopal on Saturday, Met officials said that there would be a partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development. The day and night temperature would be 38 degrees and 26 degrees Celsius while average wind speed will be 20 kmph.

In the forecast for state, the Met department said there is possibility of thundery development and rain at some places like Umaria, Anuppur, Shahdol, Dindori, Indore, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Barwani, Burhanpur, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Katni, Neemuch, Shajapur, Raisen, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Sheopurkalan, Hoshanbagad, Betul, Harda and Sehore.
