But Bhubaneswar to gorge on international, regional fare
The food festival will begin from December 1
BHUBANESWAR: Foodies have reason to cheer as the city will organize a 16-day international food festival from December 1.
Organized by Odisha Tourism and the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), the festival will see the participation of several big hotels and catering institutes.
With 16 nations participating in the world cup, the festival on the Idco exhibition ground at Unit III is expected to be memorable, BDA sources said.

On offer will be continental, regional, national and street foods of different countries. The sources said each partner would prepare four food items from a particular country's menu, four from those of a chosen state and two street-food items popular in Odisha.
Chena tarkari, egg chop, chungudi chop, thunka puri, keema chop, pakodi, baigani, piazi, mugapiazi, gulgula, mutton chop, chicken pakodi, mudhi mansa, jhal mudhi, dahi vada, kanji vada, alu dum, chudakadamba, malpua, dalma, chitta pakodi, chat and kachodi chat will compete with regional and international servings.
Besides the food court, the venue will also have a beautiful arch with several selfie points.
