Odisha CM seeks suggestions from babus to make administration more accountable

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday sought suggestions from senior bureaucrats serving with the state government to make the administration more accountable and people-centric.
During a meeting of the secretaries of various departments here at the state secretariat, the chief minister asked to submit proposals with suggestions for prompt redressal of problems faced by people and to strengthen the administration on the basis of their experiences gained during their district visits.
Though most of the secretaries made some suggestions, the chief minister asked them to submit detailed proposals in length to chief secretary A P Padhi, said an official statement issued by the chief minister’s office.
According to sources, the state government would take necessary steps in activating the administration on the basis of suggestions made by various secretaries.
