10-year-old raped in Raipur Rani

PANCHKULA: A 45-year-old man working as a daily wager raped a 10-year-old girl at an under construction building in Raipur Rani. A complaint was given to the woman police station (WPS) by the family members of the girl. The girl lives with her grandparents in Raipur Rani. The girl narrated the incident to her grandparents. The minor is stated to be mentally unstable and the accused used her sickness as an advantage and raped her.
A complaint was given to the Raipur Rani police station after which the case was transferred to the WPS and the medical examination of the victim was conducted and a case under POCSO (Protection of Child From Sexual Offences) and 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered. Cops have started the investigation in the case. SHO WPS, said, "We have registered a case based on the medical examination and complaint. The investigation is going on. The accused would be arrested soon."
