2 Chandigarh cops take a hit

CHANDIGARH: Two traffic policemen were hit by a car near the furniture market roundabout of Sectors 42 and 53 on Thursday afternoon and brought to the Sector-16 Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH) for treatment.
Head constable Ajit Kumar and constable Anil Kumar are stated to be out of danger, although their limbs have taken a lot of impact. The Sector-36 police have registered a case and begun a manhunt for the unidentified driver who sped away after hitting the cops and leaving them bleeding on the road.
The cops were going towards Sector 36 when the car coming in from Mohali at reckless speed crashed into their motorcycle and knocked them off.
On seeing the injured cops, passersby gathered around them.
