Chandigarh: 13-year-old raped by relative, now 3 months pregnant

CHANDIGARH: A Class VI girl was allegedly raped by his relative at her native place in Uttarakhand around three months ago and now she is 13 weeks pregnant. UT police have registered a zero FIR and have forwarded it to Uttarakhand police for further investigation.
Police said the 13-year-old girl reported that she was allegedly raped on several occasions by a 20-year-old man at her native place around three months ago.The girl said that she had gone with her family to attend a marriage function of their relatives' in Uttarakhand around three months ago, where a person known to their family allegedly raped her. The incident came to notice when she started vomiting and complained of pain in her abdomen. Parents took her to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed her of being pregnant and informed the police about the incident. Police reached the hospital and during her counselling narrated her ordeal.
On the basis of the medical reports of the minor, immediately, police registered a Zero FIR under the relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act against the accused and forwarded all the details of the case to the concerned police station in Uttarankhand for further action in the case.
