Chandigarh: Club open beyond closing time, one held

The police have booked a case against a Sector 7 club manager for keeping the club open till late in the night without any permission from any authority, clearly disobeying the orders of the administration.

CHANDIGARH: The police have booked a case against a Sector 7 club manager for keeping the club open till late in the night without any permission from any authority, clearly disobeying the orders of the administration.
According to the police, while patrolling at night, it was found out that the club in Sector 7C was still open, without any intimation to the local police.

When the police contacted the manager of the club, he failed to produce any special permission taken from the administration.
The police immediately booked the manager, identified as Vikrant Singh, a resident of Hoshiarpur in Punjab, under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code).
"The accused was arrested but was got bailed out. The investigation is under progress," said the police official dealing with the case.
