CID holds first-aid training for CM security commandos
Chandigarh: Haryana criminal investigation department (CID), in collaboration with a private hospital from Sector 26 of Panchkula, conducted a one-day first-aid training for its commandos posted in CM security.
The programme, which was organised in the hospital premises, was attended by 25 commandos posted in CM security. Haryana additional director general of police (ADGP) and CID chief Anil Kumar Rao was also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao said that most of the deaths, especially those that occurred due to road accidents, head injury or heart attack, could be prevented if the victims were handled properly within the first three to five minutes and given the needed first-aid before they were taken to the nearby health facility. Knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first-aid could boost the effectiveness of security personnel in case of an emergency situation, he added.
It is for the first time that CID is organising a first-aid training workshop for its personnel. “We will explore the possibility of offering this programme to all police personnel,” said Rao.
