Covid-19: Haryana breaches 900, Gurugram first to cross 200

With Gurugram continuing to top the table, 23 new cases of Covid-19 from across Haryana on Sunday took the state's tally to 910. A death in Faridabad took the casualty count to 14.

CHANDIGARH: With Gurugram continuing to top the table, 23 new cases of Covid-19 from across Haryana on Sunday took the state's tally to 910.
A death in Faridabad took the casualty count to 14.
The state health department had a reason to relax as 48 patients were discharged after recovery.
Now, Haryana has 332 active case and the recovery rate has gone to 61.75%, as 562 patients have been treated successfully..

The maximum number of patients have been discharged in Jhajjar, 25, and the number of active cases has fallen to 53.
On Sunday, Gurugram got 11 new cases , taking the district's tally to 204. With 14 patients being discharged, Gurugram now has 100 active cases.
Also, Rohtak got four new cases and Faridabad got three. Two cases were found in Panipat, and one each in Karnal, Sirsa and Mahendergarh districts.
In Panipat, a 28-year-old man from Chhotu Ram Colony and a 22-year-old man from Hali Colony are the patients. Panipat chief medical officer Sant Lal Verma said the two returned from Mumbai on May 15. They were taken to civil hospital for examination and their reports came on Sunday. They have been admitted to the isolation ward of BPS
Government Medical College and Hospital, Khanpur Kalan. Now, there are five active cases in the district.
The bulletin released by health department revealed that the testing rate in Haryana has gone up to 3,078 tests per million. Till Sunday, 78,029 persons were tested. Of them, 72,494 were found to be negative for Covid-19. In all, 26,374 people have completed the quarantine period.
In Karnal, a 40-year-old man with travel history of Gurugram tested positive. Deputy commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav said the man returned on Saturday and had gone to Ambala for surgery of gallbladder in Mulana Medical College. Meanwhile, the samples were collected and he tested positive.
