CHANDIGARH: Driving tracks in the state will be made operational from June 1. An online system has been launched to book driving tests and obtain regular driving licence, Punjab government announced.
State transport commissioner Amarpal Singh said applicants will now be required to take the test in accordance with booking and officials will not be allowed to take the test at their own discretion.
Those who miss an appointment will have to make a booking again, he said.
“Jumping the queue or adjusting a person without booking will not be possible,” said the state transport commissioner, adding that this will prevent exploitation of the public.
