Extension of Hisar airport runway in 6 months: Dushyant
Hisar: Deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala has said to start the second phase of air services from Hisar airport, the state government has sought environment clearance for the extension of the runway. He was talking to reporters after a public grievances meeting at the PWD rest house here on Wednesday.
“A proposal to remove a drain and a centre of women and child development department obstructing the runway extension has also been approved.
The next six months will see the expansion of the airport runway,” he said.
Apart from this, the deputy CM said as part of NGT’s efforts to curb carbon emissions, the state government has decided to include electric buses in Haryana Roadways fleet. These buses will be used in the city and for inter-district services, he said. Dushyant also heard public grievances. On this occasion, JJP district president Jaipal Bandaheri, former MLA Puran Singh Dabra, organisation secretary Rajendra Litani and spokesperson Mandeep Bishroi, along with party officials, other dignitaries and officials of various departments, were also present.
After hearing the public grievances, during an official meeting, Dushyant summoned BDPO Sandeep Kumar with regard to graft complaints against sarpanches of several villages of Adampur block and asked the DC for an inquiry in this regard. In the case of appointment of an employee in Hansi-II block, he asked for action against BDPO Rana Singh as per rules.
