F bar firing case: Chandigarh police file supplementary challan

CHANDIGARH: The police have filed a supplementary challan in the Chandigarh district court in the F bar firing case involving local BJP leaders on birthday of political secretary.
The matter dates back to 19 November 2018, when the shots were fired during the birthday celebrations of a BJP leader at F Cafe and Bar in the early hours of Tuesday, leaving four persons injured.
Municipal corporation mayor Davesh Moudgil and local BJP workers were present in the party of Sahdev Salaria, political advisor to local MP Kirron Kher. However, Moudgil and Salaria claimed they had left the venue when violence broke out among two groups around 12.30am.
The police has attached the CFSL report of CCTV footage with the supplementary challan as a crucial piece of evidence which would depict the whole scenario very clearly about the presence of people at time of incident.
F bar owner Gunkaran’ Advocate Terminder Singh stated that this piece of evidence would clear that he was not present at the time and prior to the incident
The police stated that the after a heated arguments over some political issue Chetan Munjal and Rinku, two out of the five accused, both BJP supporters, pulled out their pistols and fired three rounds. Arjun Thakur, the son of a UT police head constable was also involved in the violence.
