Haryana CM launches municipal corporation projects in Panchkula

PANCHKULA: Haryana chief minister ML Khattar launched bicycle-sharing system designed by the Panchkula municipal corporation for the residents of the city. With this the Panchkula municipal corporation will be the first in state which will have cycle sharing facility. As per the plan there will be 20 stations set up in the city where around 200 bicycles will be parked and residents can hire it as per the requirement.
The civic body decided that the cycles will be available from 6 am to 8 pm.
Initially, the registered users would be able to use the facility in the jurisdiction of the town. There would be a central control to monitor the system in real time. Sources said that the project will be launched for the public next month.
The chief minister also laid foundation stone for construction of municipal corporation panchkula building in sector 3.
