Haryana police wins two awards of smart policing
Haryana police have received Smart Policing awards-2019
CHANDIGARH: The Haryana police have received two Smart Policing awards-2019 instituted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in a function held in New Delhi on Friday.
While one award is given in recognition of best practices under ‘Digital Investigation, Training and Analysis Centre (DITAC)’ in the category of training and capacity building.
The second award presented to Haryana police for best practices under ‘Apki Sangini’ in the category of community policing.

Appreciating the officers, director general of police Manoj Yadava said that it was a proud moment for the entire police force as it had got recognition at the national level. He also congratulated the team of DITAC and Apki Sangini for their excellent performance and for receiving this award.
On behalf of the Haryana police, Additional Director General of Police CID Anil Kumar Rao received the FICCI Smart Policing Award for DITAC, whereas DCP East Gurugram Sulochna Gajraj received the Smart Policing Award-2019 for the initiative Apki Sangini.
DITAC was established under the aegis of CID Haryana in collaboration with National Technical Research Organization (NTRO) in Gurugram. The MoU was signed in August 2016. With the personal efforts of CID Chief, Anil Kumar Rao, the DITAC was established in a record time and was inaugurated by the chief minister of Haryana on December 28, 2016.

This Centre is equipped with highly sophisticated tools and software. It has three wings namely Social Media Monitoring Cell, Cyber Lab and Training Lab.
Project Apki Sangini, an initiative of the then SP Palwal Sulochna Gajraj under community policing category.
This four day awareness sessions module twice in a month was conducted which comprised of POSH/POCSO and cyber-crime awareness sessions alongwith self defence training to girls and women.
These awareness sessions were conducted in the selected government schools, colleges and villages in Palwal district.
