MOHALI: Two city-based youths Abhishek Bajaj and Sarthak Aggarwal have come up with a soft drink with natural flavours and without any preservatives.
Studied at St John’s High School, Chandigarh, and Lawrence School, Sanawar, Abhishek and Sarthak came up with the idea to develop such a soft drink to give customers an option against other aerated drinks.
A blend of traditional flavours and modern brewing techniques, “Gunsberg” is a refreshment for the soul, said Sarthak.
Gunsberg’s inceptions stems from Germany and Switzerland with ginger as its core ingredient. Abhishek said, “It’s a drink to be enjoyed everywhere and anywhere. It’s for celebrations and midnight blues; for Friday night games and Sunday brunches; for the elbow-benders and the sober comrades. It is made from ginger, lemon and grape juice, which act as natural pain killer, immunity level increaser and is anti-inflammatory.”
They said that the USP of their product is that it has natural flavours, use sugarcane and is without preservatives. Sarthak said, “We have pasteurized it for longevity and have used invert sugar to make it sweet. It can be fed to children as an alternative of soft drinks.” They got the name from Switzerland and the recipe from Europe.
