Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run

PANCHKULA: A man in his mid-twenties was killed after a rashly driven canter hit him while he was crossing the road in Raipur Rani in a hit-and-run on Friday evening.
Nek Pal, who works as a labourer and is residing in Raipur Rani, said his nephew Sheesh Pal had come to visit him. Around 5 pm, when he was crossing the road near Trilokpur turn in Raipur Rani, a canter bearing registration number HR-54-A-9794 hit Sheesh Pal.Pal was taken to General Hospital, Sector 6, where doctors declared him brought dead.
