PANCHKULA: A resident of
Pinjore has committed
suicide by hanging himself from a tree in
Sector 27. Family members of the deceased said that his wife used to make fun of him among her relatives and called him impotent. On the complaint of the father of the deceased, police have booked his wife and other relatives for abetment to suicide.
Hari Singh, 59, a resident of HMT Colony in Pinjore told cops that his younger son got married to Sarika, a resident of
Uttar Pradesh, on February 2, 2018.
“Soon after their marriage, Sarika started fighting with him. My son’s sister-in-law too started threatening him on phone. All this became so frequent that my son got into depression and was forced to take the extreme step,” the complainant said.
“A few days ago, my son’s mother-in-law came to his house and after abusing him took their daughter to UP. He had told me about the behaviour of his in-laws many times,” he added.
The complainant’s son went missing on February 14. After searching him for long, the family members of the deceased found his motorcycle parked in Sector 27 and his body hanging from a tree.
“No suicide note has been found. We have registered a case under Sections 306 (punishment for abetment of suicide) and 34 (act done by several person with same intention) of the
Indian Penal Code at Pinjore police station,” said investigation officer assistant sub-inspector Rajbir Singh.
