CHANDIGARH: Former union minister and HPCC chief
Selja and leader of opposition
Bhupinder Hooda on Sunday launched the scathing attack on
Manohar Lal Khattar led BJP government in Haryana and accused him of pushing
Faridabad and
Gurugram into state of backwardness.
While addressing the party workers and office bearers in Faridabad and Gurugram, the two leaders elaborated the contribution of Congress party in setting up, growth and development of the important districts of National Capital Region (NCR).
"The first prime minister laid the foundation of development in NCR. He launched Faridabad district. Following this successive Congress governments had been working for the growth of twin cities. But, these last five years have been proved to be nightmare for all. Congress is committed to bring the pace of development back to the years 2005 to 2015," said Selja.
Addressing those present on the occasion, Bhupinder Hooda elaborated upon the development plans and programs launched by Congress during his rule in the state. "It was only due to financial growth and contribution of Gurugram and Faridabad, Haryana had been number one in all the aspects. Now, we need not say much, index speaks itself. Haryana has been pushed to bankruptcy. This is the wake up time and we have to weed out BJP from Haryana," said Hooda.
Besides Lalit Nagar and Uday Bhan, the sitting MLAs, prominent among those who attended seminar included former MLAs, former ministers and district leaders of Congress party.
