Three miscreants snatch purse from woman in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: Three miscreants riding on a motorcycle snatched a purse from woman in Sector 32 on Monday. The Sector 34 police has registered a case against unknown persons and started a probe. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
In her complaint, Kusumlata (58), a resident of Sector 32, said that she was going to meet her sister living in the same sector around 5pm.As she reached near the bus stop in Sector 32 , the three on a bike approached her from behind and one of the accused snatched her purse. All three manage to flee after committing the crime. Her purse contained Rs 4,000 and other documents. She raised an alarm and informed the police about the incident.
As the information of snatching was received, cops of Sector 34 police station reached the spot. After taking the details of miscreants from the woman they laid nakas in the area but failed to nab the accused.
On her statement, the Sector 34 police registered a case against unknown persons and had been checking CCTV footage installed near the crime scene to get any clue of the arrested persons.
