After light late evening spells on Friday, the city and its suburbs received light to moderate rainfall in the early hours of Saturday. There were power cuts in a few localities.
Rain continued as the day progressed.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre's forecast, "The sky condition is likely to be generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur in some areas. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 36 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively."
