Chennai: Readers, bring a book take a book at OMR book swap
CHENNAI: Wondering what to do with that book you’ve read? In a bid to promote the 'recycle and reuse' mantra, the Federation of OMR Residents Associations (FOMRRA) is organising its second book swap on Sunday, August 25. To be held at the Multipurpose Hall at Olympia Oplaline in Navalur, the Book Swap is a way to get people in the community to connect as well.
The book swap will take place between 3pm and 7pm.
Ïn the first book swap in July more than a 100 families came to exchange books from all over OMR and other parts of Chennai, says Harsha Koda, coordinator for FOMRRA. Over a 1,000 books were swapped at the event which was held at Ceebros Boulevard.
“As an organization we always take up issues of transport, rainwater harvesting, traffic and more. This was a fun event to encourage recycling,” says Koda.
Just don’t forget to bring a book to take a book.
