Five Chennai youths died on the spot when a car they were travelling in collided with a bus near Mamallapuram in the early hours of Thursday.

CHENNAI: Five Chennai youths died on the spot when a car they were travelling in collided with a bus near Mamallapuram in the early hours of Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Karthik, 21, of Teynampet, who was a law student, and his friends Dilip, 22, Nethaji, 21, Sai Satish, 22, and Mohammad Thameem Habibullah, 22, all are residents of Perambur.
The accident happened at Kadambadi, three kilometre away from Mamallapuram – around 1.30am.
The youths were returning to Chennai from Puducherry.
Dilip, who was driving the car, tried to overtake a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus and collided head on with another bus that came from the opposite direction.
The Mamallapuram police registered a case.
