Tamil Nadu school education minister K A Sengottaiyan will captain the India team that will play against Australia in a friendly cricket match to be held at the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) here on August 24.

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu school education, youth welfare and sports development minister K A Sengottaiyan will captain the India team that will play against Australia in a friendly cricket match to be held at the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER) here on August 25.
Austrade (Australian Trade and Investment Commission) in collaboration with the Centre for Sports Science (CSS) is organising the friendly cricket match between the visiting Australian delegation and select guests from the Tamil Nadu.

Team Australia, to be led by Blacktown city mayor Stephen Bali, will have former premier of New South Wales Nathan Rees and others. The 15-member Indian squad will have film director Barat Bala, MRF director Varun Mammen, Murugappa group president Ananthaseshan Narayanan, Olympic medallist Gagan Narang and others.
