CHENNAI: Two persons were electrocuted at Araiyapatti village near Alangudi in Tamil Nadu's Pudukkottai district after they accidently put their legs on an electric wire.
The Gaja cyclone-affected Pudukkottai district is facing so many problems after the disaster. Twenty-five days after the cyclone struck, there is no electricity in the interior villages of Pudukkottai.
As Suseela (45) and Sakthivel (25) were taking water near the paddy field, they accidently stepped on the electrical wire, leading to their deaths.

Villagers blame the incident on the carelessness of power board employees, complaining that the electrical wires were not repaired in the interior villages.
The victims' kin now demand Rs 10 lakh and government job to a member in the family.
