Tamil Nadu: Fearing exam, class 10 girl fakes her kidnapping
SALEM: A class 10 girl student, who was fearing board examination, went to Chennai on Thursday. But, she informed Salem city police on Friday evening that some unidentified persons had abducted her using seductive spray.
M Jasmine (name changed) of Velli Tiruppur in Erode district is studying class 10 in a private school in the village.
On Thursday morning, she went to her school as usual and she did not return home. Her parents launched the search for her, but their attempts went futile.
Later, they lodged the complaint with Velli Tiruppur police.
Meanwhile on Friday evening, the girl approached Pallapatty police in Salem city. She informed the police that some unidentified persons abducted her using seductive spray. “She said, she was in Chennai when she gained her conscious,” an official from the Pallapatty police station said. He also said that, she later narrowly escaped from the abductors and reached Salem on Friday evening.
During inquiry, the police came to know that she was bluffing. They also realised that nobody abducted her.
Meanwhile, they informed her parents following which they rushed to Salem. The police once again inquired the girl. At that time she admitted that she went to Chennai fearing the board examination.
Finally, police officials advised her and handed over to her parents.
