25 new dengue cases reported in Dehradun

With 25 new cases of dengue reported on Monday, the toll of vector born disease touched 67 in Dehradun and 73 in the state.

DEHRADUN: With 25 new cases of dengue reported on Monday, the toll of vector born disease touched 67 in Dehradun and 73 in the state.
Talking to TOI, chief medical officer Dr SK Gupta confirmed that of the 25 new cases, 20 are men and five are women.
“While 24 of the 25 new cases were reported in outpatient departments (OPD) of various government and private hospitals, in one case, the patient was admitted to Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Hospital,” the CMO added.

As per the breakup of health department, of the 67 patients in Dehradun city, 56 are from various localities of Raipur area.
“We have already alerted the health department to conduct random and regular inspections in Raipur area and ensure no water stagnation which is the major cause of mosquito breeding,” the CMO added.
With the 25 new case, the total number of dengue patients in Uttarakhand have reached 73 this year.
