Though several people are being treated at the community health centre for jaundice, most of them claim that they have not got much relief.” “When I took my sister to a higher facility in Dehradun, the doctors there said that she had renal failure due to consumption of wrong medicines,” he added.
Chief medical officer Dr Vinod Nautiyal said, “We do not know about deaths due to any mysterious disease. However, we will send a medical team to the area to look into the matter on Wednesday. Proper treatment will be provided to those infected after identifying the disease.”
Talking to TOI, Dr JS Bhandari, head of Chinyalisaur community health centre, said, “Viral fever cases are on the rise due to sudden weather change. Most of the patients visiting the centre are suffering from fever, vomiting and lack of appetite, which are common symptoms of jaundice and viral infection.
