Three men accused of raping a 13-year-old Dalit girl were produced in court and were later sent to a 14-day judicial custody on Saturday.

DEHRADUN: Three men accused of raping a 13-year-old Dalit girl were produced in court and were later sent to a 14-day judicial custody on Saturday.
Talking to TOI, circle officer Almora, Kamal Ram Arya said that the accused identified as Mahendra Kumar, Pankaj Arya and Rajan Ram were arrested from their residences on Friday. “Police teams will be sent to arrest one more accused who works outstation,” Arya said.
A thirteen-year-old Dalit girl from Almora was raped by five men including two brothers, a middle aged man and a teenager, for over a year. The matter came to light when the minor victim delivered a still born baby in government district women hospital on Monday. Notably, one of the accused in the case, Chandan Ram, 48, committed suicide by consuming poison on Thursday.
