BCCI U-23 Trophy: U'khand beat Tripura by 7 wickets

Dehradun: Uttarakhand defeated Tripura by 7 wickets in the ongoing BCCI Men's U-23 One Day Trophy match at the Tanush Cricket Academy in Dehradun on Sunday. Despite a century by Bikram Das, Tripura was restricted to 172 runs, thanks to excellent bowling spells by Vikas Krishnapal and Nikhil Pundir who took four and three wickets respectively.
Uttarakhand achieved the set target with 15.4 overs remaining.For the team, opener Tanush Gusain smashed 107 runs. With this match, Uttarakhand team ended its campaign in the tournament securing 4 wins in the 8 matches they played.
Meanwhile, another team of Uttarakhand defeated Bihar by 6 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy match at Jadavpur University in Kolkata on Sunday. Bihar was restricted to 134 runs. Uttarakhand bowlers put up spectacular performances with Mayank Mishra, Akash Madhwal, and Sunny Rana clinching two wickets each. Uttarakhand achieved the set target in the last over, thanks to an unbeaten half-century by Karanveer Kaushal and an unbeaten knock of 35 runs by Vaibhav Panwar. Uttarakhand finished its campaign in the tournament securing 2 wins in the 6 matches they played.
