Dehradun: In a reshuffle in the state
police department on Friday, six Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and three Provincial Police Service (PPS) officers were transferred by the state government on Friday.
IPS officer Arun Mohan Joshi was made the new SSP of Dehradun, while incumbent SSP Nivedita Kukreti was transferred to the intelligence wing as superintendent of police (SP).
Kukreti who had served for two years as Doon SSP will also hold additional responsibility of SSP in the vigilance cell of Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL).
Arun Mohan Joshi, a 2006-batch IPS officer, was serving as commandant of the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB)-II in Haridwar. Joshi had earlier served as SSP Haridwar and SP Uttarkashi.
The government has also transferred SSP Haridwar Janmaijai Prabhakar to IRB-II battalion as its new commandant with additional responsibility of SSP Kumbh Mela. Senthil Avoodai K Raj has been made the new SSP Haridwar.
SP Bageshwar Lokeshwar Singh has been transferred to Haldwani as SP (regional), intelligence, while IPS officer Priti Priyadarshani has been sent to Bageshwar as the new SP of the district.
Besides, responsibilities of three PPS officers were also changed. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) regional, intelligence Manikant Mishra has been made ASP CID Dehradun sector. ASP Sarita Dobhal will take his place as new ASP (regional, intelligence).
Harbans Singh, deputy commandant, SDRF, has been sent to vigilance cell of UPCL.
