State JEE topper would study 7 hours-a-day, credits mother for his success
Dehradun: Revealing the strategy behind his success, Pranjal Aggarwal, who scored 263 marks in the JEE (advanced) examinations to become the state topper, said that he would study for at least seven hours daily, besides the time he spent in school and coaching.
Speaking to mediapersons after the results were announced on Friday, Aggarwal said that he had started preparing for the JEE exams while in Class XI.
“I knew I had to crack the JEE examination and secure admission in IIT, so I started preparing for it while I was in class XI. I would study after coming back from school and then head for coaching,” he said.
Pranjal credited his success to his mother, saying, “Despite holding a PhD, she would stay at home to ensure a good upbringing to me and my brother. She has been my greatest strength,” he said.An alumnus of Brightlands School in Doon, Pranjal is inclined towards computer and electrical engineering and his campus preferences are IIT Mumbai and IIT Delhi.
Notably, his elder brother also cracked the IIT and has graduated from the prestigious IIT Ahmedabad. He is currently pursuing PhD in United States of America.
